Cecylin [Old n' New]

So I decided to do a sort of 'Old vs New' with my babycakes Cecylin. Turns out she is 9 years old this summer. In celebration, I decided to do a stupid little doodle to show off how much she has changed through the years. On the left is Cecylin based on her very first rendition while the right is how she looks now a days.

There has been some editions in the middle of course, and even now Cece sports a summer and winter look. But I think the biggest difference is how she looks older and more mature. She also did grow in height since in her first drawing, she was shorter then her male counterpart Ryo. While now she is the same height as him. 

One of the things that hasn't changed much is Cecylin's personality. I initially made her as a bit of a joke after reading The Grand List of Console Role Playing Game Cliches . Some of the cliches being a bit more apparent then the others. I can remember some right away without reading the list again myself. The heroine having to use a staff to compare to the hero's sword (this one changed). Having a magic pendent that the bad guys want. Yes Moon was a thing right away. 

Needless to say she is still inspired by some of those tropes. Being the grumpy anti-social cynic she is. Sort of a mix of old and new I suppose. Fighting against some of the women can't look like this and be like that. /shrug Mainly Cece is just a woman who doesn't give up on what she believes~
